Self Employment Training for Individuals Affected by Job Loss in the Manufacturing Sector
After experiencing uncertainty, are you ready to consider being in control of your career path through self employment?
Oxford-Norfolk-Elgin Community Futures are partnering to offer self employment training to individuals who are affected by job loss, especially those in the manufacturing sector.
Please join us for an information session to learn more about the program. Meet our trainer and Business Advisor, Cindy, and take a self-assessment that will help you understand if self-employment will meet your needs as an individual.
Our Self Employment Training program will take you through a series of workshops designed to move you from that “light bulb” idea through the process of researching, planning and firming up your creative business idea, including writing your business plan and cash flow.
- 8 sessions, 3 hours each (will not affect your EI eligibility)
- Support to create a viable plan that generates income
- Understand and get access to opportunities to fund your business upon program completion
- One-on-one support with a local business advisor upon program completion
To meet the varying needs of our clients, we will offer the sessions either during the daytime or evening hours. Training is offered as follows:
May 1, 3, 8, 10, 12, 22, 24 (All training is from 9:30am-12:30pm at the Tillsonburg Public Library)
June 5, 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 25, 28 (All training is from 5:30-8:30pm at the Tillsonburg Public Library)
